I’m Back…I Think…

I’m feeling a little better now. I got scared, I thought I was gonna end up losing my eyesight. Anyway, I said in my previous post that I was gonna introduce you all to my boyfriend. So everyone, meet my iPod touch! He’s my boyfriend and his name is Maddox. Disappointed? You thought I was really gonna introduce you to a boy? Sorry~ 남자친구 없어요. My dad bought it for me. I’m glad he did coz it’s been really helping me a lot with studying Korean. Maddox is filled with Korean lesson podcasts and pdf files. I listen to podcasts more often than the kpop songs that I have put in. I don’t know why but listening to Hyunwoo oppa and Kyeongeun unni’s voices relaxes me. *weird*

I know some of you guys must have heard of Pegasus Society for Korean Studies before. I saw some other Korean learners blog about this organization. I was gonna join their Summer Series but classes already started and they were no longer accepting applicants. T__T But few hours ago, I saw their announcement and they’re now accepting applicants for their Winter series. I just applied for their Gogo Beginner class. Classes will start on December 1. I still have a lot of time to prepare. To those who have tried their lessons, can you please give me some feedbacks? Thanks in advance.

Right now, I’m trying to ask my aunt who lives in the States if I can order Integrated Korean on Amazon and have it shipped at her place so she can send it here when she sends a balikbayan box to the Philippines. In that way, I don’t have to pay for the uber expensive shipping fee. After contemplating for a while, I just decided to get both Integrated Korean and Yonsei Korean series. I’m gonna buy Yonsei Korean 1 some time this month.

I’m still having a hard time remembering Korean words. T___T

Okay, fangirling time. ^^ Congratulations to 2NE1 for winning on M! Countdown.

  1. Welcome back! Did you visit a doctor?

Anyway, what apps do you use? I'm planning to post a compilation of apps that I use in learning Korean but I'm still too busy. I'll try to post next time I guess.

PS. I was a little disappointed when you just introduced your iPod and not your boyfriend.

Take care Angeli. And about not easily remembering Korean words, 힘내!

  2. If you keep on reading the words will be stuck in your head! I remember the first time I learned Korean I barely remember a thing. My iPhone is filled with Korean apps like 카카오톡, 네이버, 다움, etc..and my podcast too is filled with 이야기 series. I also have pdf files of Korean textbooks that I discovered in some odd site..which is illegal *ashamed though I have the actual books it's a bit burdensome to bring them everyday*

  3. Hello unnie!

I didn't visit the doctor. *scared* I just decided to give my eyes some rest. I use the laptop from the moment I wake up til it's time for me to go to bed. XD

I'm using iBooks and KORLINK (TTMIK's free app). Oh! I'm looking forward to that post. I've been looking for apps that will help me with my Korean.

LOL, Like I said in my post, 남자친구 없어요. ᄏᄏᄏ

  4. I barely remember the words that I just read on books or pdfs. But I easily remember words which I have heard on Korean dramas or variety shows. When I hear a word, it gets etched on my brain instantly than just reading it off from a book. I also have pdfs versions of some books. Haha! But I still want to buy actual books.

  5. Waaah you registered for the GoGo beginner class?? I registered too!! ehehhe So see you there… I wish I will make it to the end of that class… After doing some research about them I found out that their classes are so intensive that half of the registered applicants would drop out in the middle of it…. Goodluck to us!

  6. Yep! I registered and I got accepted. I can't wait for the course to start. In the meantime, I'm doing a bit of preparation so that I won't have that much hard time during live classes. I hope we get to finish the whole course. T__T I'm a little worried. Good luck to us! ^^
