How long has it been since my last update? 3 months? 4 months? It’s been a long while since I checked this blog and I’m sorry I wasn’t able to return replies to your comments sooner.
Anyway, I’m planning to enroll in a language school with some friends who I met on Twitter who happen to live in the same city as me. The language school is not open yet. They will start taking in students this December. However, we need 5 or more people for the Korean class to push through. I’ve given it a lot of thought and finally decided to enroll. I’ll probably won’t learn that much new stuff since the class is aimed for those who have little or no knowledge of Korean.
I’m almost done with Korean Grammar in Use: Beginning and I’m about to move on to the second book. So why on earth am I enrolling in that beginner’s class when I’m just one step away from intermediate level?
Well, I thought it’d be nice to get out of the house and meet friends who share the same passion as me. The thought of having friends to practice Korean with sounds like a good idea since I need MORE practice. Sentence-making is still a challenge for me and I understand Korean better than I can speak it. =.= And I’m after the certificate. LOL! I don’t know why but I just want one. Haha!
The Korean class is not for free, of course. It’s a bit expensive if you ask me. But there’s no other language school here so we have no choice. 4 hours per week for 5 weeks so that’s a total of 20 hours. =.= Oh well, I hope it’s worth it.
I posted an announcement about the Korean class on the Facebook group for kpop/kdrama fans in our city and I’m surprised that there are a lot of people here who are interested to learn Korean. Too bad they can’t afford to pay for the lessons. It would be nice to learn Korean with them. I’m thinking of forming a group to gather all those who want to learn Korean so that maybe in the future, we can have some activities that will help us in learning Korean. But I’m gonna need a lot of help from my friends on this because I cannot do it all by myself. Well, let’s see what happens.
